Considering Disney parks have started putting up their Halloween decorations, I'm ready for mine too! If it's good enough for Disney, it's good enough for me! But I want to know what time do you consider it ok to start decorating...

First decorations go up around Oct. 1.....depending on the day of the week that falls on.
We get back from a trip Sept. 30, so it might be a couple days later this year

I kind of mix it up - I’ll do fall decorations in Sept - then switch to Halloween starting in Oct - then back to Fall and Thanksgiving in November- I don’t do Christmas til AFTER Thanksgiving and keep it up til after Epiphany and then I’ll switch to general winter decorations….then Valentines, St Pats, Easter/Spring….etc.

Early Sept - everyone around here starts as soon as school starts which us mid August - I like to wait until Sept ease into it - start with fall deco and then by end of Sept bring out the Halloween 🎃

last year I never put out my Halloween stuff because I held my daughter's bridal shower in October and thought it would be weird to have all dead looking things around. :rotfl: :rotfl:

This year probably the second week of September. It takes some work so I want to enjoy it for a little longer.

No fall decor until the official start, so after September 23. Halloween waits until October 10 or so.

Usually after Labor Day weekend I will switch out some of my dried/faux flower decor - of which there is only a few anyhow - and change the wreath on the front door. I'll grab a few mums for the porch, and at some point I'll put a pumpkin or two out.
I don't decorate for Halloween, we live in the middle of nowhere so no trick or treaters.

I did stop by the Yankee outlet yesterday and grabbed a Macintosh & a Pumpkin candle  but I'll refrain from lighting them until it starts to cool off!

Halloween is only 1 day and have never 'decorated' for that. Some of my neighbors have all sorts of elaborate outdoor displays. Might change the table placemats for Fall, but tend to do that seasonally anyway.

I won’t put anything up until after the first “official” day of fall. Once Halloween is over I take the Halloween stuff down, but leave up the general fall things out until Thanksgiving. I don’t like the gross, scary stuff so basically that means if the pumpkin has a face it comes down, if it doesn’t it stays up. I do have a few Department 56 Halloween pieces that I take down.

Sometime in October. I usually start with Halloween so It's more towards the end of October. It's still hot here in the Southeast and makes it difficult for me to get into the spirit. After Halloween, I switch out Halloween for "general" Fall decor heading into Thanksgiving.

We didn't do Halloween when I was growing up and never decorated for it. I still don't decorate for it because I am the only one who would see them considering how remote my house is.

I only have minimal fall decorations, but I don’t put them up till October. My son’s birthday is at the end of September so I wait till after that.

I don’t do Halloween but I love Autumn decor. The weather here doesn’t start to turn until late September and Thanksgiving in Canada is in mid-October, so I change out the summer stuff somewhere between the two. :goodvibes

Was considering swapping out my hydrangea tablecloth for the rust one this morning because the fall stuff only gets a few weeks until Halloween fall stuff takes over, but I think I'll give it maybe another week.

I noticed it getting darker earlier and with the cooling temps this week the geese seemed to start collecting into squads.

I have a small amount of decor and wouldn’t put it up until at least mid-September. Usually not until the beginning of October for Halloween. As pp said, we’re still in summer mode here, back to school is still a month away, and we just went through a heatwave.
