When do you 'run out' of points?

We are planning ahead and with 3 trips a year for this year and next we will suck both contracts dry before 2010.

Or it will mean a add on for the BCV. Anyone else in the same boat?
This could also result in a cruise or a transfer to replentish the supply. Does anyone use a transfer in to subsidize their habits.

No, I don't transfer, but I'm in the same boat!!! I used all of this year's points and next year's points already, so if we want to go to Hilton Head or WDW next year we will have to borrow from 2010 to do so. Instead, I think I will probably pay cash for that year in order to get us "caught up" again - sometimes we will have a cash trip anyway because we don't want to use points to stay at a favorite non-DVC resort.

Of course, we may just decide to go somewhere completely different!!!

Well, I haven't started booking 2009 yet, but I am planning on a few days in May for another girlie trip, a few days in September/October with DH for golf and f&w, and 5 nights in November with the family, all in 2009. As of now, I have 56 points left in 2009, so I'll definately be borrowing from 2010- and I am planning on buying KT, too, so I keep telling myself it will all be fine by 2009- RIGHT?!!!!

No transfer here but hoping maybe for an add on once they start selling Hawaii. I always seem to have more vacations booked than points available in the UY. I've already used all of 08's points and and i'm contemplating borrowing from 09. I figure it will all be okay as long as I don't plan to go to Disney in 2054.

Yes, i'm pretty sure we'll be taking off from Disney in 2057. Really at that point, they could just stick a stuffed Mickey Mouse in front of me and I'll think I'm in WDW!

Screw that, I am definitely going in 2054. In my will there will be a stipulation that my kids must bring me to WDW even if I am drooling and need a change of diaper just to show them what we did for them!

We've already used our 2008 and 2009 points. We always end up borrowing from the next year. Hopefully on the member cruise we will add on to our 500 points that are never enough points.

I'm borrowed out on our small AKV contract, but I seem to always be in banked catagory for the others. I made a mistake this time and banked my extra 113 points when I should have kept them in there for changes I want to make at the 7 month mark. Oh well, I can just borrow from next year.

It is gonna take something really big for us. We banked 72% of our 2007 points into 2008 ... and might have a tough time using even the banked points in the coming year.

We received a huge lift last year thanks to Developer Points on an add-on ... and foresee banking for many years to come ... unless we splurge on something unexpected!
