I remember lying awake trying to stay up ALLLLLLL night long to catch Santa in the act only to fall asleep and wake up to a present loaded tree. Do you "go to sleep" with the kids and set the alarm to get up in the wee hours or do you wait them out and put them under the tree before you go to bed? Or are you kids past the Santa age and they go under when you get them?

Here I wait it out till they're asleep and then load up the tree. By the way, I'm still waiting for the fall asleep part :rotfl:

Still waiting for them to fall asleep and the grandparents are restless - grandpa is sleeping on the love seat with his coat on - ready to get things from the car!

We wait it out. It is only 8:15pm here in California and they won't go to bed for another 45 minutes.

Then they will goof around for 2 hours and make up numerous excuses to get up (Need to use the bathroom, need water, need to use the bathroom, need another hug, need another kiss, need to see if santa came yet)

If we are lucky we will get them under the tree around 1:00am.

It's 10:18 and I'm all done. The kids went to bed early so they could get up early. That gave me a chance to get everthing under the tree and get to bed at a decent hour.

We wrap and put the presents under the tree after they fall asleep. This is our first year that no one believes in Santa, so it was a little easier.

We don't have Santa presents this year - first year as youngest is now 10 and finally asked the truth. In past years, the kids were sent to bed by 10pm and I put the gifts out after midnight mass so it was very late, probably after 1am. It made for a very tired Christmas morning!

We did not put a tree up this year. We have not yet had a tree up in our house and this is our second Christmas here.

So, even though Gabby & I agreed to no presents, she doesn't yet know that Santa has indeed come to visit both of us. The presents are sitting out on the floor of our Disney room. Gabby went into the Disney room earlier today. I just knew that I was busted. She came out with her boots and noticed NOTHING! :lmao:

I can't wait for her to find them tomorrow. I suck at keeping secrets. I have been torturing her for the last few days about Santa coming to visit. This should be a great surprise. I can't wait!!! :santa: Maggie

I am finished. First I had to drive back to my moms house to get the presents. Since I have no where to hide them. When I got to my DM house my Aunt and Uncle were still there so I sat and talked to them. When I got home and was putting the MM clubhouse figures under the tree Goofy kept going off. I was so afraid DD was going to wake up and catch me. Merry Christmas.:santa:

my little monkey is fast asleep and daddy is working nights, wont be home till 6 am. I dont want to put it out without him but im worried my little one will get up before he gets home. Sooo i guess after i finish this glass of wine Ill put the presents out.

my kids are asleep. I did the stockings, but am too chicken to go upstairs and lug all the big gifts downstairs! There are a lot of gifts and I have to walk by both their rooms to get them downstairs! I'll wait a bit longer! :surfweb:

I'm the kind that goes to bed with my DD 9 and then wakes up in the wee hours to set it all up.

Just finished!

Merry Christmas, all!
