When do you decorate your house for Christmas?

First of November. A lot of work on the tree for a few short weeks makes no sense to me. We are generally so busy that the longer we have it up, the better we can enjoy it.

Its been around 60 degrees here for the last 3 days so I've noticed alot of people in my subdivision have put up their Christmas lights, and most of them have them on.

Same here, we just put our outside lights up last night, but won't turn them in till after thanksgiving.
I'll decorate the inside Sunday after thanksgiving!

Typically we do it the weekend after Thanksgiving, although I like to have the tree up and ready a few days before, and we might even start decorating it. A couple of years ago it sat without anything on it for a week or so, and my girls took it upon themselves to decorate it with their stuffed animals :) So that has become one of our new traditions lol. It means extra work when we have to go back and re-fluff branches to get it ready for lights and ornaments, but hey, the Christmas season's all about fun right? :)

We don't do outside lights, and I don't do anything until about the weekend before Christmas. I grew up in a house where the Christmas stuff was up from Thanksgiving until the 2nd week of January and it was always just chaos - things moved, things in the way. I got burnt out on decorations. This year we're not hosting Christmas so I probably won't put up more than our tree.

I am so excited to start decorating for Christmas. I am trying to hold off, but Christmas is in 47 days. That doesn't seen to far off. So when does everyone start decorating? Inside the house? Outside the house? Am I crazy to even be considering it? ( good thing my dh isn't on here, he would defiantly say I am crazy!)

Decorated the outside of the house last week while cleaning the gutters. I don't like being up on the ladder so killed 2 birds with one stone, as they say. I think the rest of the outside decorations will go up during Thanksgiving week for lighting on Black Friday and through the Christmas season. Inside decorations change from Thanksgiving to Christmas over The long weekend and the next week.

im done!!!!!! :lmao:

spending Christmas with dd at wdw this year. we are taking a 4ft tree and the works with us and staying at okw in a one bedroom from dec 18th to the 29th.

we figured no sense dragging everything out for Christmas and putting up a tree and nobody here to see it. so, we set up the MM in the living room. :thumbsup2
