I am so excited to start decorating for Christmas. I am trying to hold off, but Christmas is in 47 days. That doesn't seen to far off. So when does everyone start decorating? Inside the house? Outside the house? Am I crazy to even be considering it? ( good thing my dh isn't on here, he would defiantly say I am crazy!)

Mine is done!! Thanksgiving is crazy late this year and next year!! I leave for 3 weeks starting next week. So, you are not crazy, my tree will be up next year the 2nd weekend of Nov (this year I did it the day after Halloween)

Since right now I am currently waiting for the birth of baby #8 to take place. My due date is today. We will wait til after thanksgiving like we always do. I always wait for one holiday to end before starting a new one.

I have to admit I think its a little early.

I'll probably put my village up the weekend before Thanksgiving and finish up decorating the weekend after Thanksgiving.

I get a real Christmas tree so that probably won't go up until I get back from Disney on 12/5.

We were walking through Costco last night and my DH was like a little kid "Is it time to put lights up yet? When are we going to decorate?"

I kept telling him after Thanksgiving, but I'm not sure he's going to wait that long. :)

Biggest tree went up after Halloween. Two more going up this week-end. They are much smaller. Rest of inside decorating inside going up next weekend along with packing for Thanksgiving in a cabin in Tenn at Pigeon Forge. Outside when we get home from our trip.

We don't do anything until the weekend after Thanksgiving. I'm too OCD to concentrate on 2 holidays at one time :lmao:

We are going to the Santa Claus Parade tomorrow morning in our city. That means it's decoration time when we return home! :santa:

Right now I am planning to put everything up the weekend after Thanksgiving, but that's only if I have enough energy left after making and hosting Thanksgiving dinner!

But I agree with others who said Thanksgiving is late this year, so a part of me is tempted to do it the weekend before Thanksgiving...

We usually do it the weekend after Thanksgiving and this year will probably be no different. We'll be out of town the weekend prior.

We have to take down earlier than usual because we're leaving for 6 days at Disney on the 30th or 31st and I don't want to have that to deal with when we get home. I'll be undecorating by the 27th or 28th. We usually wait till the 1st.

I like to decorate the house the weekend after Thanksgiving but it seems so late so I may do it the weekend before. We don't get our tree until 2 weeks before Christmas though.

We will be at Disney till Dec. 8 and then it will be a mad rush to Xmas. If I put up outside lights I would do it now before it gets any colder but I live on a very quiet street and only the animals would see them so I just decorate inside.

If we have company for thanksgiving, I wait to decorate until after our company leaves. But on the years that we aren't hosting anyone, the decorations start to appear shortly after Halloween. :) I love Christmas - and decorating and going out to the farm to get our trees!

I'm not hosting this year, so I started decorating inside this week. By next weekend, I will have two of my four trees up (and my Dept. 56 village) and decorated. The other two trees will be fresh cut from the Christmas tree farm, so we go to get those the first week of December. The outside lights will be up, but not lit until thanksgiving evening. :)

Normally I decorate the weekend after Thanksgiving - both inside and out. Unfortunately the past two years my in-laws have been in town and and I wasn't able to decorate until the weekend after. Since we are leaving for Disney on December 16th I have decided to put up all decorations the Monday of Thanksgiving week. I took the whole week off work since the in-laws will arrive on that Tuesday. This way I have plenty of time to enjoy them and focus all of December on getting exited for Disney.

I also decorate the weekend after Thanksgiving! In the past I have put out lots of lights, reindeer, wreaths, garland, etc., but this year I plan on going simple. Just a few white lights (I prefer them over the colored), a wreath, and one reindeer if he still works. It's just me putting up the decor, so we do the tree the weekend after indoors and I put up a few decorations and candles in the kitchen and powder room...nothing like the smell of a christmas candle from Yankee Candle or Bath and Body Works :) Merry Christmas everyone:)

We usually decorate the weekend after Thanksgiving however this year we are thinking about doing it this week if we have time so that way it will be done before our trip. Normally we have Thanksgiving dining at our house but since we will be celebrating elsewhere this year I won't mind having the indoor decorations up early. We will still wait until after Thanksgiving to put up our outdoor decorations though.

We decorate the weekend before Thanksgiving. We would wait until the weekend after, but we generally travel out of state for Thanksgiving.

Already started!! Also started listening to Christmas music about 3 weeks ago!!! I Love Christmas!!!

Same date for us every year. Nov 30. Lights turn on Dec 1
