Hi, I am currently planning a trip for 11/29-12/3/06.

Does any one know if the Christmas Decorations will be up by this time?

Also any idea on what the crowds might be like?

Thanks for your answers.

Missy

Everything will be up and ready for Christmas by this time. We were there the middle of November last year and most everything was already decorated, with even the parades changed at both MGM and AK to the holiday ones.

Be sure to check out the Osbourne Family of Lights at MGM--this will definitely put you in the holiday spirit.

Yes probably all the decorations will be up at this time. The crowds should be very manageable also. You will have a great time.

They usually start Osborne lights in October (I believe, but may be wrong), then start in early November at the resorts and parks.

Also, some suggestions.

1. Most definitely do the Candlelight Processional. I always so the dinner plan, so this way I know I'll have a seat and a wonderful place to dine. I'd recommend viewing the 6:45pm or 8:15pm shows, as it will be darker out and you'll be able to see more of the lights. The show is just incredible and is a must for me on each visit during this time of the year. Here is a link to more info on the CP.

2. Plan time to visit the Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge, the Beach Club, Yacht Club and the Boardwalk. All of these resorts have incredible decorations and gingerbread displays.

3. Plan on the Magic Kingdom being pretty crowded on Saturday.

4. If there are any sit-down places you really want to dine at, I would definitely make ADR's (especially at EPCOT). These restaurants book up fast during this time of year with the CP.

5. Make sure to bring a pair of pants, sweater or sweatshirt, and a pair of stretchy gloves. Have been when it's been warm during the day and cool at night and another year where they had a cold snap and it was chilly. Better safe than sorry.

We were there last year over Halloween. On Oct 31, there were no Christmas decorations. On Nov 1, we woke up and there were Christmas decorations already up at MK. It was amazing how fast overnight they put those up! :wizard:
