When do they start Christmas Activities?

I'm trying to decide when to plan a trip!

I had originally considered the MNSSHP, and then thought about Thanksgiving week.... my question is this: When do they start with Christmas Activities? Not necessarily the Christmas Party, but Resort Decorations, Candlelight Processional, etc?

If it meant scooting the trip a few days to catch some Disney Holiday Magic, we probably could!

We were in WDW for Thanksgiving week 2003. The resorts and Main street were decorated at the beginning of the week. It was beautiful.

MVMCP, CP, Obsourne Family Lights all start right after Thanksgiving....on Friday for the most part. The decorations start going up in early Nov. We did one trip the first week in Nov and the day we left, we arrived in the lobby of POR only to find a huge Christmas tree had 'sprung up' overnight. There is a list someplace on the boards, most likely by Ray Sharpton, that will give you the historical dates that different resorts put their holiday finery on!! By the week of Thanksgiving it's all pretty much done. Only the 'special' stuff is held until after turkey day.
