When do they reveal Disney half and goofy medals

I was wondering when these medals are traditionally revealed. I love the full medal and am anxious to see the other hardware I will be running for!

I am going to guess that you won't know the new half or goofy medals (if they are even new) until the expo. I think the marathon medals were the same from the first marathon through 2008 (other then the year on them) and the half was the same from whenever that started until 2009. In 2008 they had the special 15 year anniversary medal for the full but the standard medal for the half and it wasn't released until I think race day. Then in 2009 they switched to the medal they used in 2009 and 2010. There was also a 5th anniversary medal for the Goofy.

This is the first year that the medal design was released so early and had a vote. I imagine that was to peak interest because the registration numbers were down and that is also the reason we have the first ever marathon Monday.

My gut is the half and goofy will be the same as 2009 but that is only a guess.

From what I understand the Goofy and Donald medals will not be changing this year, so just look at 2010 for Donald and 2009 for Goofy.

A little clarification....

In general the shape of the medal was unchanged from year 2 through 2008. Believe it or not Year 1 was earless.

The original finish was an unpolished bronze finish. The finish changed in the late 1990's.

The 10th anniversary medal, while same shaped, noted the anniversary in the body.

Then as indicated, the 15th medal re-set the design in years 16 through 2011.

Also note the 5th Anniverasy Donald medal was not of the 'common' design. It was a head on silhouette of Donald with a running Donald in the body. This design carried forward in 2003.
