When do the spring break crowds start?

When do the spring break crowds start? Will it be crowded this Friday?

I'm not sure if Spring Break has started yet or not, but I will say that I tried to get a hotel room ( a few weeks ago) for this Thurs & Friday and there was NOTHING available. On site Disney hotels were completely booked, both the Sheratons were completely booked, HOJO was full, etc! We finally ended up at Candlewood suites a few blocks away by the I-5. I think it's a fairly new suite hotel.

Anyway, by the absence of vacancies at the local hotels, I'm saying it will be crowded.

I agree that it may be pretty busy. My daughter's school lets out on Friday at noon and are on break all next week.

My son will have the Fri b4 Easter as well as the following Mon & Tues off for his Spring Break (we're in UT)

Very good indication when all the hotels are full. I should have known the blockout days start on Saturday and last two weeks for us. What do you think the first week of April will be like?

we love first week of april while busier than off peak it is not as busy as summer and u still get nice weather........

Offical Spring break starts this week March 14 -- March 29. That is the core 2 week.

Our schools are off the second week in April; and I know of a district or two that are off the first week in April. I think because Easter is so early this year, many districts are not necessarily coordinating the spring break with it. I was almost thinking this would be a good year to go during spring break since I would bet the crowds are going to be spread over more weeks than when Easter is in April. (Too bad I couldn't convince my husband this was a good idea...)

yeah, they had a private party on Paradise pier/Hollywood. Mysteriously, they were competing at the convention i think.

Boise schools are out March 24-28 for Spring Break.
I know of quite a few people heading down to DLR.
