Hi!
I wish I were asking for myself :sad1: but I'm trying to help a co-worker plan a DL trip in January.

He would rather go the week of January 3rd, but he would be willing to go the following week if crowds will be a lot lighter. Will the crowds drop off significantly after New Year's Day, or will he be better off waiting that extra week?

Thanks!

I'm not sure how many others do, but I know our school has the week of Jan 3rd off, so we are going that week. I would guess that the following week would be slower, with all schools back in session for sure.

Crowds will be a lot lighter the 2nd week of January, but there will be more closures/refurbs. We always go the first weekend of the New Year because it's still slower than the preceding days up to NY, and everything is still up and running w/ the Holidays layover.
