We won't be at the party, but we've never been to the MK without seeing the place decorated for MNSSHP (we always go mid-Sept, but this year we'll be there Aug 31 - Sep 14). Just wondering how far in advance of the first party will the MK be decorated? We'll be there on Sept 2nd and are hoping to see the MK without Halloween decorations for a change!

Not sure about plans for this year, but last year they were up by August 28. Very strange to see haystacks, leaves, and pumpkins when it was still sticky and humid. The good news is that the crowds are very light this time of year!

Betting that they won't go up until after Night of Joy this year. It is Sept 10 and 11.

Although we do not celebrate Halloween, every year we go 2 WDW in Sept, & there is always pumpkins, haystacks & the Mickey's not so scary Halloween Party so I am thinking August,September time

We always go the last week of August and the decorations slowly go up each day that week. Then they are up completely by the first or second week of September. We were there on September 3rd and the first party was on the 4th.

So this year the first party starts on the 14th so it looks like they'll be putting decorations up more the first full week of September.

Hope so. We've never seen the MK without pumpkins all over it.

In August 2008 my family and I were at WDW until the 30th of that month and the Halloween decorations were already up because Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party was starting a few days later in early September 2008.
