When do the Christmas decorations go up?

In the parks they go up right after the last MNSSHP(which is usually on Nov. 1st). MK is decorated by the 1st MVMCP (I believe that was on the 9th last year). It is completely decorated by then EXCEPT for the large Xmas tree on Main St USA - that doesn't go up until after they film the Xmas parade.

The other parks were decorated by the 1st week of November last year as well (Osborne lights started the end of the 1st week of November - for some reason I think they started on Friday the 9th because I had MVMCP Tix and did HS the next night to see them). Epcot was decorated right after the last day of the F&W.

In the resorts they get decorated by Thanksgiving. So the week of Thanksgiving is when they all get decorated. We were there through November 12th last year (Thanksgiving was on the 22nd) and the resorts weren't decorated yet. We heard a CM telling a guest that the next morning the WL would be decorated when they came down to the lobby (we were checking out and of course wished we had planned one more day just to see the Lodge decorated!)

This year I'm wondering if they may be decorated slightly earlier because Thanksgiving isn't until November 28th (I'm hoping because we stay until the 24th!)

Oh this is cool! I talked DH into doing the FW 1/2 marathon and we will be there November 7-12. I was hoping that some of the Christmas stuff would be up because neither of us have any desire to be there over Christmas break, but we'd still like to see the holiday atmosphere. The Osborne lights are something I'd really like to see!

It was funny, last year I was at WDW over Halloween. The next morning, November 1, I went to DTD. In the morning, everything was switched over to Christmas decorations, Christmas souveniers available to buy (I bought Xmas themed Minnie and Mickey), the Christmas tree was up, Christmas displays in the windows of stores, Christmas music. Santa's elves were real busy on Halloween night!

It's beautiful at Christmas I love it. :) Small tip, I would do Osborne lights on an EMH night. Not so crowded. We usually go on an EMH night and we didn't this last year (actually went on a Saturday night around 7 pm). What a mistake that was. There were so many people you couldn't move. Literally.

We went back the next night, which was an EMH night, and there was nobody there. It's so nice. You can relax, walk around, takes pictures... all at your leisure.

Anyway, just a suggestion.
