When do SATS finish?

Booked a pre-Disney break for the Whitsun holidays down to Devon (my second favourite place in the world). The holiday runs from the Friday night 27th May to the following Friday.

Only thing is my daughter is eleven next year and it's SATS. I was hoping that the day before they break up, SATS would be done and dusted (or at least done by lunchtime) - it takes forever to drive down to the West Country from here (particularly the day before a Bank Holiday). At least DD got a DVD that attaches to the car seat for Xmas (keep her amused for a while).

Anyone, who have kids who've sat these in recent years remember when the last 'exam' was?

Our DD finished hers on 21st May this year - that's the usual week they hold the year 6 SATS I believe.

Unfortunately next year they are a week later, so the school tells me. The kids(ie Y6) are going on a school adventure down to Cornwall the week commencing 14th May this time (although mine's not going).

Can you remember if they had any exams on Friday 21st May this year, if so was it just in the morning?

P.S. I see you went to POP, RPH and CSR this year - we went to POP and RPH - thinking of going to CSR next year if we can't get good rate at RPH again. We loved POP, so we are definitely going there - what did you think of the hotels?

I teach year 6 and we have been given the SATS dates for this year to be from Monday 9th May - Friday 13th May 2005. A time table for which tests are to be taken on which day has been sent to schools (sorry I don't have it here with me I have left in in my classroom.) The tests can be taken at any time on the given day and most schools usually test the children in the morning so all tests will be done by lunch time each day.

Great news - thanks - looks like the lady in our school's office has got it wrong(again). It makes more sense for the school trip to be the week after SATS. This sorts me out fine - presuming that kids in all the schools in the UK take their exams at the same time.
