When do rooms go back into the system after cancellation?

I have been trying to call periodically for my pin code to see if there is an opening at POP. Does anyone know what the best time of day to call is? One CM told me all rooms that get dumped during the day aren't available until the next morning. Another CM told me most cancellations happen in the morning so call around lunchtime.

I don't want to call and be obnoxious, I just really would like to catch a room at POP if I can.

Maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that when reservation for a discounted room is cancelled, the room goes into the regular room inventory.

If this is correct, a cancellation wouldn't help you. Disney would actually need to add new rooms to the promotion for your PIN code.

I'm sort of in the same boat as you. I have POP booked for late October, but would really like POR (non-royal rooms, which is currently only what they have under my PIN). I randomly call to see if anything has popped into the system, but no luck I can't afford to stay there this time around, with a non-PINNed price. Has anyone every been able to snag a ressie at their desired resort, AFTER being told it wasn't available under their PIN? Just curious. Thanks

Well, I called back today ready and willing to change my dates. No availability for this either. Hmmm....

So the CM who helped me sent something to a superviser....continued to 'look into things'. After about a half hour something 'popped open' for all levels at the POP! No idea how she got it to work, but I am so excited. Now we are going in October instead of December, so I have to get to work planning since our ADR's are right around the corner.
