When do resort Christmas decorations come down?

We are headed down tomorrow and would like to find time to tour some of the resorts and see the decorations. Will they still be decorated the first week of January, or will they all come down 12/31?

From past experience they don't all come down over night. I know in 2011 the main tree at AK and some resort trees were still up on January 7th but I believe they were all down by that weekend. A good rule of thumb is that everything will be down by the end of marathon weekend but each year might be a little different.

I typically go to WDW the week *after* New Year's and while decorations are still up in the parks, most of the resort decor has been taken down. Based on the timing of your trip, sounds like you'll be in luck!
