When do promo rates come out for August car rentals?

I've tried both Alamo and National, interested in Hertz as well. We need a minivan for our August trip and am playing around with the logistics. All the prices I am getting now are hideous. I am interested in seeing if it is more reasonable to pick up and drop off at the Dolphin, right now that is pricing even more expensive. We really only need the minivan from 8/16-8/20, butwill extend to 8/25 if I find a good deal. When is the best time to start looking? Any other companies I should peek at? Try Avis or Dollar as well. Avis has a desk at the Hilton across from Downtown Disney. Dollar has one at one of the other hotels on Hotel Plaza Blvd. BTW, both of these agencies have offices at the airport, but Hertz uses shuttle busses to their off-airport location.
