OK weigh loss is going in the right direction, I find I'm not really as ravenous as I used to be....but I'm still exhausted....

Does anybody have any suggestions?

They say you should exercise...but I always wondered how in the world to that when you feel exhausted.

What I do is I just get up and do something...put all the laundry away...if I am work...go and get the mail..if its a hike.

Start small..but try to stay moving...the worst thing is to sit and veg out, you get in a rut and it makes it worse.

Sending you some extra caffiene inriched pixie dust.....LOL

Kimball, you just have to force yourself to get up and go. You have to get yourself motivated to go. You may feel this way for a while still, as many people do when they start, and you have to work through it. I think starting out slow is best. Don't jump into an exercise routine that will exhaust you and make you feel like you failed. You are not failing you are improving your life

My personal experience is that a good trip to WDW will pump that energy right up for you!!!

I think your energy should start returning any day now. It seems to me that I had a lack of energy for about a week when I started eating low carb. Atkins induction may be different though! But I think the general concensus is 1-2 weeks. Are you taking a multi- vitamin??? That would help!

On the other hand... couldn't it just be the kids wearing you down??? they do thaht now and again don't they!!! :p

Kim, I believe that Dr. Atkins says to not try to exercise much during the first two weeks of induction.

Everyone is different. My husband got his high energy at the end of day 4. He was an out of control diabetic, though, so just getting his blood sugar under control made him feel so much better, that alone would have increased his energy level.

There is something else you need to consider Kim. You have been under a lot of stress the past week or two. Stress is a huge factor in exhaustion. It may take you a little longer before you notice any improvement.

Hang in there. Don't give up, Okay?

I'm not going to give up...I'm determined with all your support to get to my goal by this summer.....I do physical work for work and I lead a very stressful life....so I'm sure that figures in ...If I finally make it through a weekend my next goal is to start exercising..and see if that helps...Oh and I think I'll take a multi vitamin as well...

It's a great idea to take a multivitamin. I take vitamins :)

You will make it, Kim. You just have a lot more going on in your life than a lot of us, it may take just a lttle longer for you to notice you have more energy.

You know you can count on our support 24/7.
