When do I call?

I currently have a THV booked for Sept 30 to Oct 8. I plan on changing it to either BLT, BWV, BCV, or VWL at the seven month mark since I own at SSR. When would the seven month mark be for Sept 30 since Feb only has 28 days???

It begins on February 28.

Here is thread from 2008 in which Caskbill explained the process for reservations in these types of situations. Unless it changed when the reservation process changed to calling 11 months ahead of check-in instead of the former 11 months ahead of check out, his points are still valid.

Just got off the phone with member services and she put me on hold since she didn't know the answer. She got back on and told me March 3rd. So I can book Oct 1 on March 1 but have to wait until the 3rd to get my first day??? That makes NO sense

[That being said, like I stated above, unless the rules changed when the booking windows changed but I haven't heard that].

Call back but you should be able to book September 30th on March 1st.

I guess I'll try feb 28 and if MS is right I'll call on the first and rebook my trip AMAZING they dont even know the rules she said she wasn't sure

On February 28th you can also check on the member website on the home page right column:

Manage My Membership;]
(then click on) - My Vacation points.
On the next page that comes up it will show you something like this:

• Currently, you may request a reservation for a Disney Cruise Line® vacation that has a sail date on or before mo/dd/yr, some sailings may not be available for booking at the 24-month window.
  
• Currently, you may request a reservation at your Home Resort for vacations that have a check-in date on or before mo/dd/yr, based upon availability.
  
• Currently, you may request a reservation at any Disney Vacation Club Resort for vacations that have a check-in date on or before mo/dd/yr, based upon availability.

The member computer system as figured out for you what dates you may book reservations, including the 11 month Home Resort date; the 7 month date in which you can book at other DVC resorts. And if you are interested, the first bullet is for the DCL. Note I removed the dates the system showed for my account today and inserted mo/dd/yr.

But I agree with those who posted March 1st. I've seen other threads about this subject before.

With the end of February getting closer, here is another post I came across on the same topic of when the booking window opens. It certainly sounds like the programming of the DVC Computer system does not match the written rules.
