Just wondering for previous visitors who have visited WDW in early January, right after New Years'--are the holiday decorations still up?

I'm trying to get an idea of when they come down and also when they stop doing the holiday festivities at the parks?? Especially the Osborne lights (if they're doing them this year).

If we can't make it in early Dec. I'm thinking about going around the 2nd or 3rd of January.

THANKS:D

Hi Just Bumping I had the same idea, we have seasonal passes and they have blackout dates thru the holidays.

The Osborne Spectacle of Lights is scheduled to run through January 5, 2005. The Candlelight Processionals and Holidays Around the World at Epcot run through Dec. 30, 2004. Most of the holiday decorations are up through the first weekend in January, which would be Jan. 2, 2005.

This year's Osborne Lights are scheduled to end on January 2, 2005. That 's the first Sunday after New Year's Day and is consistent with previous years.

We have been there through the first week on January and all of the decorations were still up. Don't quote me but I beleive that a lot of them stay up through the end of the month. ::MickeyMo

I hope the good majority of the Holiday decor. is still up the first week of January, our seasonal pass has blackout dates for the holidays, and my bday is Jan. 3, so I thought we might go down for a short trip. Hope there still up too.

All the decorations are down in the parks by the start of Marathon weekend (Jan 7-9, 2005). They start disappearing from the resorts around that time. They were taken down at the WL during the night on the Sunday of Marathon weekend (Jan 11)this year.

They disappeared from the MK about Jan 5 or 6 this year.

OK RLewis, if you'd read what I asked, I did say WDW, don't remember saying "RLewis's" house??LOL:tongue: I don't think so!

Ok, so do the Osborne Lights end on 1-2 or 1-5?

Like Miniefan that's my idea, if we can't make it up there the first weekend of Dec. I'd love to go right after New Year's (dd is still out of school that week-the following week wouldn't work for us anyway).

I'm not concerned about the Processional, just really the decorations at the resorts and parks and the Osborne Lights.
THANKS!
