My drive to WDW is nine hours and I actually enjoy the drive due to the unbelievable anticipation..I feel like I've arrived when I drive onto the property and see all the colorful welcome to Disney signs!! I feel like I've just gone from 41 years old to 12....19 days and counting...

I feel like I have arrived when I pull onto Disney property and see Mickey holding the WDW signs!!!

At MCO and we are riding down the esculator and see Jim from YourRide holding the sign for us! :teeth:  :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Driving through the gates and seeing all the Mickey signs!!! Me too!! It's like "WE'RE HERE, LET THE VACATION BEGIN".

But the magic doesn't begin until your standing on Main Street watching the fireworks on the first night of your stay. I cry every year!!

When, in the last week of Feb., I step off the plane @ MCO and get hit with that first blast of hot, humid air after weeks of single digit temps at home.

I feel that I have arrived once we checked in and get to our room!! The first thing I do....turn on the tv and watch the WDW channel!!

Riding the "monorail thing" at MCO. It's the official first ride at WDW and that's when I know that I am FINALLY there!

Only 11 more days!!

When we pass under the main entrance arch, and yell out "WE'RE BAAACK!!!"

Of course on our last trip, we got lost (don't ask...) and never did see the arch until we were leaving :(

When the plane's landing gear hits the tarmac at MCO!

I've always said that when we walk into the lobby of the WL, with the beautiful lobby and the majestic music playing our vacation starts. My shoulders relax, I breathe a contented sigh and finally relax!

I get excited as we get to the gates and see the signs; I get more excited when we get to our hotel and check in; but my vacation finally begins when I'm on Main Street and I get my first glimpse of that enchanting castle!

It's more of the anticipation that leads up to the "I've arrived feeling". First it starts when we take the shuttle, monoraillike from our plane to baggage claim at MCO. Then of course the billboards. Next is the WDW plussing when you are on property and the trip from TTC to MK on the monorail. But the real feeling is when I clear town square on main street and see the Castle. I know I'm sappy but I cry every time for sheer joy that I have finally arrived in my happy place!!!!

When we walk into the lobby to checkin where ever we are staying that trip. When I wipe that first tear out of the corner of my eye, I know for certain we have arrived!!

Definetly feels like vacation has started when you are landing on the tarmac at MCO, and see the Palm trees... Gotta love those trees..

Driving with yourride, from MCO to WDW, seeing the different advertising signs for Epcot, and Animal kingdom, then of course, pulling on the property, and seeing all the welcome signs.

Ah... its almost here!

The second I leave the plane and step into MCO. I end up walking thru the terminal grinning from ear to ear.

We drive down, and I know I have arrived when I start seeing those wonderful WDW billboards along the highway. I know we are just around the corner to the Magic! :teeth:

For me it's also a gradual thing. I first feel like I've arrived when I drive under the entrance arch. Then I get more excited as I see the little glimpses of the happiest place on earth (Blizzard Beach, signs to all the areas, the It's Tough to Be a Bug billboard, the Swan and Dolphin), then I really get thrilled checking in to my resort. I enter my room, take a bunch of pictures for my DIS friends, and turn on the WDW channel. It still takes me a little while after that (usually some time the next day) before I'm totally relaxed and feel "at home." What a wonderful feeling! :earsgirl:
