When do checked bags get sent to the Resorts?

For guests that put the yellow tags on their checked bags, when do they actually get sent to the Resorts? Does this happen after the guests have checked in for their bus ride on Magical Express, when they have went threw some screening process at OIA, after the guests have checked into their Resort, or is it something I have not mentioned?

DME-tagged luggage is pulled behind the scenes and sent to a central location at the airport, where it is sorted by destination and loaded into cages. The cages are then loaded onto trucks, and the trucks are dispatched to Disney.
The luggage gets sent when the loading is complete. It should be expected in the Guest's room about three hours after checking in to the resort, unless the room is not ready. When that happens, luggage should be expected reasonably after the room IS ready.

The yellow tagged bags get pulled off the 'belt' immediatly. They are then sent to a sorting facility to be put on the appropriate truck. Then, the truck delivers to a group of resorts. It has nothing to do with when you checkin.
Now, if you can get into your room as soon as you check in, you will have to wait to get your luggage, most likely about 3 hrs. It does take time to sort and deliver all that luggage. But, if you can't get into your room immediately, then you may find your luggage in your room when you are able to get in. I have found that if it takes several hours for my room to be 'ready' my luggage will show up, in my room, almost as soon as I can get in.
Pack what you will need for the first 6 hrs of your stay in a carryon bag. Don't forget swim suits! The pool at the Polynesian is terrific.

Sometimes it takes longer than 3 hrs. We stayed at the CBR last year and our luggage took over 6 hrs to get to our room... I think maybe because CBR is so large... when we stayed at ASMo our luggage was there in less than 2 hrs... I guess you can never predict those sort of things...
