WHEN DO 2008 rates and packages come out

I booked a room only for March '08 back in February. The CM said to call back late summer and switch to a package, as that is when '08 rates will be out. Hope this helps!

Can you book Dining and tickets package later. I see stated you book room only, but will Disney add a package later?

I know if your booking with CAA, there deals come out in Sept/Oct.

I was told that I cannot book for 2008 until 500 days prior to my arrival so I have 99 more days until I can book for Thanksgiving 2008.

I know the feeling of wanting to find out what it's going to cost and then book it. I asked the same question awhile back on the Resorts board and was told July.

DH is going back to a conference there next October and I'm hoping we can make it into another family vacation like last year. There was so much we missed b/c we just didn't have the time do get to everything.

You can book your hotel/resort but not the package when I called I was told summer of 07 - seems to be about July or August!!! I am wathcing...

my TA told me that Disney advised her sometime in August the 2008 rates come out! Can't wait, i like to play around with dates and hotels to my advantage, wish i could do it now. Plus waiting to see what April 08 prices will be like considering that the Easter weekend is in March. Hopefully March will be down!!!

You can book the room only package and then when the package rates come out they will have to re-book the room, so they can then have the package included. However, the advantage of booking the room only now is that you are guaranteed the room, you won't loose it when they go to re-book it with the package. I wanted to guarantee my room at the WL, so I went ahead and booked the room only, and then I will go ahead and add the MYW with DDP when they become available. At least I know I will have the room catagory that I want.

Usually the package rates for TA come out in July or August. The past two years when I booked with AAA, the rates came out early August.

So when you call disney and book for eg: I want 7 nights and 8 days at POR will they book all 7 nights on your credit card now or hold until you firm up with a package deal???? Never done this before, usually book with CAA (AAA) travel agent when the specials come out in Sept/Oct/Nov and never had a problem with booking and getting at the resort I want for March. Now I do book as soon as the specials come out. Maybe that is why I always get the resort I want.

Disney will charge your cc one nights rate plus tax. When you go to add the package, they will have to re-book the room. They will refund your deposit from the room only package, then you have to place a deposit on the package that was just booked in its place. One thing that I am not sure of, and hopefully someone can clarify this.....when you do re-book the room for the package to be added on, what is the deposit total then? I know Payment in full is due 45 days prior to your arrival, but I wasn't sure what the package deposit is. I guess I didn't ask when I booked my room only, because by the time I add the package, I will pay most of my total, so I wasn't worried about what the deposit would be.

A deposit on a package is $200. Last year we had a room only paid in full. Then they came out with free dining for our dates and we hadn't bought park tickets yet so we wanted the package. As stated, our room only was cancelled, our card was refunded the total we had paid and then charged $200 for the package with the balance due 45 days before check-in.
