We're planning a trip to WDW in November (Jacob will be 10.5 months), and I was wondering if there's any chance that he may be able to get his first hair cut on Main Street. I know that all babies have their hair grow at different rates, but I just wanted to see what the "average" is.

Jacob was born with a lot of hair, but it really hasn't grown much at all in the 6 months since he was born. It's a tiny bit longer, but not much.

DS generally *wins* this one. His first haircut was at about 5 months, sitting in my lap. He was born with a full head of hair, all over his head, sticking straight up all over. It did not totally lay down til he was well over a year, but we started trimming the back and around his ears when I kept getting comments on what a "beautiful baby girl I had". I will have to see if I can scan a picture of him in and post it.

I think at 10.5 months, there should be enough to at least get a trim, and what a fun memory for you guys anyway!!! I would give it a shot!

I think Cameron was like 18 months old or so when he finally needed a haircut. That first haircut didn't go so well, either! :( Now, he loves going to get his haircut. :)

I think Avery was around 1. I had to give her bangs. She kept pulling out her barettes and wanted to eat them! ;) :D

I think it would be cool to have Jacob's first haircut be in WDW! :D

Daniel is 17 months and we're still waiting...probaby around christmas.

DS#1 was at 15 months, before our trip to WDW. I didnt know about the haircuts at WDW then.

With DS#2 I still didnt know about the WDW haircuts. Before our trip when he was 8 months old, I debated about getting his cut, and I didnt. On that trip we found out about the barbershop, and I was told by strangers a few time how cute "she" was, LOL! So we decided to try our luck and were able to just about walk in and get his cut there, at 8 months old.

DD4.5 was 10 months. I had to cut in bangs so she could see. DD21mo has not had one yet.

Gosh it was so long ago.......my boys all got their hair cut soon after they turned one.:D

DS was 10 months he hated it and still does at 2.5. Screams every time, fun, fun, fun

Kermit: My little guy was 10.5 months in March when he had his first professional haircut at WDW!! It went very well. Michael cut Benjamin's hair and did a wonderful job. He was very patient and sweet.

Let me know if you have any other questions about our experience!

My DS had his first haircut at WDW this past May. He was 1 week shy of his 1st birthday. He had been due for a haircut for at least 3 months but I wanted to wait till our trip!!!! Everyone thought he was a little girl!! He received the embroidered Mickey ears with "first haircut" on them and also a certificate with his name on it. It was a very special memory and I am soooo glad that I waited!!!!! Have fun!!!:)

I was hoping to get DS's cut for the first time at WDW but since we have postponed our trip until February when he will be just one week shy of 21 months I don't think we are going to make it.

I figure that with the way it is growing I can probably go another 5-6 months top. The back of his hair is starting to get those sweet baby curls and I just can't bear the thought of chopping them off just yet. I was hoping that getting it done at WDW would lessen the trauma for me! ;)
