My baby granddaughter spent the night with us and I swear, she's teething. She's about to turn 4 months old and my DH says there's no way she could be teething this young.:confused3 My daughter didn't get her first tooth until 9 months old.

I think she is. She's drooling like crazy, chewing on one part of her gum and in general, a little miserable.;) :)

When did your kids get their first tooth?

quit complaining and go buy her something

My son had his first tooth at 3 months 3 weeks. He had 2 when I took him for his 4 month checkup. He is now 28 years old. My daughter was 7 1/2 months when she got her first tooth. So yes some babies do get teeth earlier just like some walk sooner than others.

MY DD didn't start until 7 months old but a little boy in our baby group started at 3 1/2 and he is now 8 months and has 8 teeth!!! Yes, it is definitely possible!!!!

First DD: 7 months
Second DD: 3 months (two teeth broke through the week we moved; thought she was cranky because life was crazy; didn't realized teeth until they appeared!)
DS: 4 months

So it's definitely possible, and all kids are different! As a side note, my oldest lost that first tooth exactly 5 years after it arrived.

DS14 started gnawing and drooling at around 3-4 months and didn't get a tooth until 9 months. We called him faucet face because he drooled so much. The twins didn't drool as much but liked to chew on things from an early age, their first year is kind of a blur so I don't remember exactly when but they didn't get their first teeth until 13 months.

My daughter had her first tooth at 3 months. She had a whole mouthful of them by 6 months!

My son was about 5 months old when he got his first tooth.

The teething can start long before they actually get teeth. Get out the Orajel, Tylenol and teethers!

DS and DD got theirs at 3 months:eek: I wanted to rip my hair out...then DS, DS, and DD got theirs at 5 months...not quite as bad! DD walked at 8 months-yep I have the video to prove that one. DD who just tunred 9 is in the middle of getting her 12 year molars...:scared1:

DD12 got her first at 5mo. And DD5 got hers at 6mo.

DD8, DS6,and DS2 dindt get thiersuntil they were over a year, The same goes for me and DH. I was 14mo.

I know the feeling of early walkers, DD12 was walking at 8mo. too. DD8 was rolling over at 15days!. She didnt even get to use the cute cradle. They were all over the place.

My friend's son got his first tooth at 4 months -- he's 10 months now and had 8 teeth. My DS on the other hand is 11 1/2 months old and no teeth at all... but he's been drooling since he was 3 months old, LOL. They're taking their sweet loving time!

OK, so my DH, "Dr. Spock", does NOT have all the answers.;)

Can't wait to read him these responses.:cool1:

BTW - I like "Faucet Mouth" golfgal - I think I'm stealing that name.:thumbsup2

DS began teething at 3mo and got first tooth by 5mo. By his 1st bday he had a whole mouthful of teeth while the other babies his age had only a few. He had the same symptoms you described. Congrats on your DGD and good luck:)

Definitely could be teething. My oldest got his first teeth at 3 months. I remember everyone pooh-poohing me when I said I think he's teething, well, mom knew best! Out popped a tooth, and another one right after. The worst part at that age is that they don't know enough/aren't as capable of putting the teethers in their mouths and chomping on them. Good luck!
