When did you send out STDs, Invites & newsletters?

We're just at the year mark now and I'm trying to figure out when to send everything out. Most people already know from word of mouth but I need to work on getting the STDs out to make it official. Here is what I was thinking for a timeline:

Send out STDs @ 9 mos out

Send initial newsletter with the STDs with trip planning info

Send out invitations @ 4ish mos out. I wanted to do 6 mos but people are saying that is way too early. I want to do it early because we have an A list and a B list and I want to be able to invite some B-listers when we get declines from A listers.

I plan on sending another newsletter to all of the people who accept the invite and this newsletter will have info on the event and some park info and tips.

We sent out STD's at 11 months out. The reason why we did this is we are getting married a week before Christmas. Since that is typically a very busy time for people and it's a very popular time to travel to WDW, we really wanted to give our guests ample time to decide, book their trips, etc...

We are sending out our newsletters in a few weeks, to help our guests with travel plans and such.

We are planning to send our invitations out 4 months before the wedding.

Personally, I think now is a good time to send out your STDs. The sooner you send out info, the sooner your guests can start saving or decide they can't make it.

Sending out invites 6 months before the wedding seems a bit more reasonable for a destination wedding. Especially if guests that are planning on coming need a reminder to book ADRs and to give you a better idea of numbers prior to your planning session. 4 months works too, it that's what you prefer.
