We would like Minnie and mickey to show up but we are not sure when to have them arrive?

We are going to cut our cake after our main course so we are thinking of having them towards the end during the tea and coffee?

I would love to hear peoples suggestions on this!:goodvibes

Thank you :)

Not sure if you're having a DJ but here's what we did. After dinner we did the Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dances then the DJ put on some dance music so we could all have a boogie and we had Mickey and Minnie surprise everyone by walking in while we were all on the dancefloor so then M&M just joined in with the dancing and mingled with everyone and also did a slow number with just my husband and I which was really cute! After that they actually joined us for the cutting of the cake and stood either side of us...these pics looked great too! But no matter what you decide you're guests will love it, I know ours did :thumbsup2

We are most likely going to have Mikey come when dinner is almost over. We figure since we will be served first we can take a few pictures while everyone else is still eating, and because kids usually eat quicker we figure mickey can keep them entertained on the dance floor while the adults finish dinner.

I'm not keeping my photographer all through the reception, there is a small number of us and I am saving money by just having the photographer for 4 hours. We are a no dancing reception and there is no point in having a photographer to take pictures of us eating :rotfl: Due to this I am having a staged cake cutting before we eat then having the characters right after that. Our reception is 3 hours.

Here is the reception timeline:
3:00pm-4:00pm - Guests cocktails in Whitehall Room while we have photos
4:10pm-4:15pm – First Dance
4:15pm-4:20pm – Staged Cake Cutting
4:25pm-4:30pm – Toasts
4:30pm-5:00pm – Characters
5:00pm-6:00pm – Relax and have dinner
