when did Virgin stop allowing you to prebook your seats?

Sorry for being a dunce but am I getting this straight?

A lot of you seem to do online check in to get the seat reservations and then go to the check in desk anyway to hand over your luggage and get your boarding pass?

What do you say when you get to the check in desk? Do you tell them you've already checked in online or do you just hand over your passports and they work it out for themselves? Lol

Eactly, go to the desk and hand over passports and I usually say I have done online check in. They tag our case and print out boarding cards.

Went into virgin today to pay off some holiday and they said there's only two planes left to refurb and should be able to take bookings for seats by the end of November.
