When did sci-fi stop serving burgers for dinner?

We have always read it was ok to go here if you kept your selection simple, like a burger. Now, I checked the menu and they don't serve burgers for dinner??? :confused3

I thought my boys would really like eating here, but now I'm not sure I like the menu for me & DH.

Just disappointed :sad1:

Would they serve it to adults? I don't think DH would like anything else on the menu.

Thank you for your suggestion. :goodvibes

Sorry! I misread your message and thought you meant there was nothing your boys would like.

I doubt you could order off the kids' menu for the adults. You might be able to specially request the Angus Chuck Burger off the lunch menu for dinner, but I can't say that with any certainty. It's a shame that it's not on the dinner menu, though. I agree that your sons would probably love eating there.

I have always been able to order a burger at dinner at the Sci Fi and I see many others on disboards who do so with no problem. They aren't on the menu, but they dont' seem to mind and I think they get that request quite often. If your server says you cannot order one, ask for a manager! WDW loves to please their guests and offering you what you want is a part of that. And their burgers are great! Your kids will love Sci Fi, mine do, its the only place in all 8 of our WDW trips we have been to each and every time. We could never not go there!

I don't think burgers were ever on the dinner menu, I think you have always been able to request them, though, since they are on the lunch menu.

I have to agree with this... we have gone there for years now, and hamburgers while can be requested, were not on the dinner menu.

Like a previous poster stated.. Disney does like to make their guests happy !

BTW the ribs are quite good too ... Have fun !:)

I also asked for a burger , I was not in the mood for any of the other choices so I just said do you have cheeseburgers and he said sure. So I would just ask when you get there.

I am happy to hear that!!! Sci-fi fits in nicely for my Dec. trip, but nothing on the menu looks appealing, and the food gets poor reviews, so I have been hesitant to book it. This might just work perfectly!

I have ressies for dinner in Aug. and when I saw that there were no burgers on the dinner menu, I called to make it a late lunch ADR. The CM told me to keep what I had and just ask for a burger. She said they would accommodate us. So, I am going to trust her and ask for burgers for dinner. She also told me they had awesome onion rings.

This puts my mind at ease too. This is one of my least favorite restaurants but DSO really wanted to do it and the boys thought it sounded fun so I had to give in. After all, you can't ask them to pick a restaurant and then veto their #1 choice. :lmao:

At least I know I'll be able to find something I want to eat.

OP - Thanks for asking this question. :)

the other posters are correct. you can order a burger anytime, its just not on the diner menu. we went in january and both got burgers for dinner, no questions asked

I'll agree with everyone else that you can order a burger for dinner. I normally only like to go to Sci-Fi for lunch but last year we were there for dinner and I didn't really want anything on their dinner menu. I asked them if I could get a burger and they said it was no problem.

You'll be fine. :)
