When Did Mickey Head Bars Debut?

I was last in WDW in '86, and I am pretty sure they didn't exist then. (But Dole Whips, chocolate-covered bananas , Sleepy Hollow Punch, and lots of other yummy goodies did!) Anyone know when the Mickey head ice cream bars were first offered? Thanks!

I'm pretty sure they had a version of the mickey head ice cream bar back then. Only the ears and top of the head were covered in chocolate shell, with a vanilla ice cream face and choc ice cream eyes and mouth. The current incarnation is all vanilla ice cream completely covered in chocolate shell.

They definitely had them back in the '80s. I remember eating them. But as the PP stated, they were a little different.

That is how I remember them from the 80's and possibility the early 90's. I remember telling my kids to hurry and eat the chocolate shell before it slid off on their clothes. Sometimes it worked and other times, not.

Yeah, yeah - now I remember. It was the two-color thing. They *did* have those back then. (I liked Dole Whips more, though. :)

My mother-in-law says the Mickey head ice cream bars are to die for, so I'm definitely trying one this time around.

At one point, I believe, Disney sold Klondike bars instead of the Mickey Head Bars. I remember my dad getting sick a day or two after eating one and then finding out there was a recall on Klondike bars I assumed they dropped Klondike after that happened.

It's a very high quality vanilla ice cream - creamy and delicious.

Mickey premium bars? Pure heaven, my favorite treat there. Great chocolate coating, wonderful vanilla ice cream inside---thick and tasty. My mouth is watering right now!

What is Sleepy Hollow Punch? I love the chocolate covered bananas. I get them on all trips. I used to get them at a church picnic when I was a kid. They were made by hand and were so good.

Sleepy Hollow punch was a beverage they used to sell at the Sleepy Hollow snack bar in MK.. sort of a sour grape flavor and reallllly yummy. I'm assuming for a short period, since no one here seems to knokw what it is. (I used to get them back in the '80s.)

I tried one at Epcot the last time we were in the world and I didn't see the appeal. The one I had was kind of bland. I thought it would taste more bananay.

I just don't get the big deal about these ice cream bars? Maybe its because I really dislike american chocolate but I mean, it's just ice cream and chocolate? It's a choc ice in the shape of mickeys head? nothing special? I think people are buying into the mickey shape rather than the choc ice. If it was a normal square choc ice would as many people buy them?

I think they taste really good. That's why I buy them, not because of how they're shaped. It's a nice treat.
