I am thinking about going this year. Just curious as to when I should be looking for the information to come out. TIA Maggie

If memory serves, I think the HHN ticket information came out in early to mid August...but I wouldn't swear to it. :rolleyes1

The dates and theme were announced in early August, I'm pretty sure the tickets didnt go on sale until the end of August.

Tickets went on sale last year around mid to late
June, the discounts come out a little later(aph..fl resident..coke)

and tricky 1 is the winner for this one.........

i bought my tickets in june and the discounts came out at the end of june.
i used my ap for the discounts.

in the past years, not 06, tickets went on sale at the 3rd week of july with the discounts out for the tickets end of july.

many years ago, it was august for ticket sales.

I can't even remember when we bought our tix for HHN XIV, but we did it as soon as they were available. What's the deal with the HHN Express Passes (as in how much do they cost?) Are they available for non-peak nights only? Tedious memories of queuing for around 2 hours to get into Hellgate Prison, which is something we don't really want to do again.

(Conversely, Disorientorium was a walk-on and I thought it was one of the most fun houses there!)

i started going yearly to hhn in 2000
so any info i post would only be my experiences for the last 6 years, going on 7....

i always buy the express passes. i think of it like car insurance, you might need it you might not. But, if you do need it, it is worth its weight in gold.

the e.p. for non peak nights are always cheaper. i only buy them on the sundays as the last 2 years, sundays have been crowded.

non peak nights are the sundays and thursday hhn nights.
peak night are fri, sat, sun

were you sent the survey from universal about hhn for this coming year?
i have come across a few that did and we compared notes on it.

the way the survey was phrased, you can speculate that UO is wondering if hhn on all nights would help with the crowds.
there were a suggested price amount for tickets and ep on the survey.
it looked pretty close to last years ticket cost for hhn.

hellgate prison was fantastic!
i had the ep and did not have the wait you mentioned.

no house is worth a 2 hour wait for me...

buy the ep if you are going just one night and want to see it all.
think car insurance.....

i do three nights in a row and can easily drop $300 on the tixs:eek:

Hellgate was definitely good (Not as good as Castle Vampyr though!) but as you said, not worth a 2 hour wait. Couldn't even have beers in the queue as we would have needed to visit the little girls room before we even entered the house!

I never got a survey from Universal...Not sure if I've subscribed to anything with them, to be honest? Having HHN on every night would definitely help with the crowds. Maybe they could just put on one extra night a week and see how that goes. It's definitely a huge money-spinner for them though...or it MUST be, anyway.

We're only in Orlando for 11 nights this time as opposed to the usual 14, so we'll need to make the most of our time there. EP's might be the way forward. Even if they're $100 each that's only £50 in our money, which is quite respectable (We're basically getting $2 to £1 at the moment, which is great news for us who are visiting...not so great for you who live there!). We could even get an just EP for one night only and see the most popular houses with that and then come back on onther nights to see everything else.

In '04 we bought Frequent Fear Passes. Do they still have those?

Thanks guys! I would love to add this to our itinerary. Maggie
