when can you send private messages?

when i look at my "private messages" it says i can send/receive up to 120. i have sent two but when i look in my "sent messages" folder it says 0. does this mean they are not sending? can i send someone a private message and see if it is received? do you need a certain number of posts to message...i think i have seen this mentioned. thanks.

You do need a certain number of posts but I'm mot sure what that number is. Hopefully a mod will chime in soon

Im sure you can send them after 10 posts so you should be able to.
Also they should show up in your sent folder.

Try sending me one now if you want and I'll let you know if it arrives

I got your message early this morning and sent one back.
I have sent out about 7 messages and they are received but my Sent box is empty too.

That's exactly it. You would think it would be the default but it isnt. I had to go into options and click this box:



"When sending private messages the forum can make a copy of the message in your Sent Items folder.
