OKAY I am really confused here~!

I thought that if you were staying on site that you could book 180 days out from your arrival date and then book up to 10 more days after that.

We check in on 12/7 so our 180 mark was today. I started calling at 6:58 AM and just now got off the phone! It was beyond absurd!

Everything I wanted was booked already!

I was told that I could have called 10 days ago! Or 190 days out. I had three different CM's tell me this!

What is going on here? :confused3

I feel like I have failed my family because I did not get the things we all wanted.

Then I tried to book a Grand Gathering and was told that I needed a GG number first. I registered for it after waiting again forever on the phone and then was told that it could take 3 -4 days for it to arrive by email. I checked back to see if I could hold our spots in the Grand Safari while waiting for the number and in the time it took to get registered for the number the spots were gone!:guilty:

Right now my Disney Cheer is gone! What a mess I have made!

I posted this to you on another thread but incase you don't check back...

"Oh my goodness, I can't believe you stayed on hold for over 3 hours!!! I would've lost patience way before that. I put your arrival date into the calculator I use to find out the 180 days and it came out as today. I'm not sure what that CM was talking about with the June 1st date. Maybe what she was saying was that some of the places you wanted were booked because people arriving 10 days before you would've had access to those dates on June 1st?? The CM that helped me last week gave me a similar spiel when I was upset that many of the places we wanted were booked."

I think :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 maybe the CMs that were talking about the 190 days were just trying to explain to you why some places might already be booked even though it's exactly 180 days for you (but saying someone else's 180 days was last week and if they're staying for 10 days their dates would've crossed into yours.

Thanks for responding.:)

I just called back to try to find something to fill in on the two days that I still had nothing! I think I need to just glue the phone to my ear.

I have been on it so long today that the batteries in the cordless phone have gone dead!:rotfl:

Anyway, this CM explained the 180 days the way I thought it should be. She said there are so many new people there and they are all so confused! I wonder if the new CM's have been allowing people to book at the 190 mark from arrival and that is why there is nothing left for that week?

I ended up booking two lunches for our Studios Day and our AK day , one at 3:25 and the other at 3:50. I guess a lunch is better than no dinner!

I tried to book Yak and Yeti in AK and was told they only book at the 180 mark and not before that so I have to wait 4 more days to try to get in there.:rotfl:

Yesterday I tried to book an ADR for Rainforest Cafe in AK for Monday Dec. 8 and was told I needed to wait until 6/11 (tomorrow) to book it as this was RC's 180 day mark. Weird. Sunday 6/9 marked 180 days out for my trip.

I hope it all works out in the end so you get what you want!

I wonder this too. I've seen three separate posts (2 here one elsewhere) in the past week of people who were allowed to make their ADRs more than 180 days before their check in date.

Getting ADRs is crazy now. That's pretty much off season and everything is booked already? Just plain crazy. :confused3

I tried to reserve a DVC room for that week back in May and 3 different CM's told me 3 different times that ALL of the DVC resorts were booked to capacity.
I don't think it is off season any more :( We had to change our yearly vacation since we couldn't get a room.
My ADR day doesn't seem to be coming fast enough. :worried:
