When can we transfer reservation?

We rebooked while on board and got the 10% discount and $200 credit. I'm thinking about transferring the reservation to AAA to get the $75 (I think that's the amount) they are giving instead of the soda mugs.

Has anyone done this recently? Do I need to do it before final payment?

I am not exactly sure how that works, but I do know that once you make your final payment it is close to impossible to change any of the rates or get any new deals.

It is possible to get better rates if Disney has it's own specials that are lower than your rates. I got that last year - saved over $400 after I had made my final payment. Disney had an off season special a couple of weeks before we sailed - category 11 only. Of course, I had to call AAA to get them to apply it.

It does not matter with DCL if the reservation is paid in full or even if you already have your documents..they will allow a travel agent (AAA) to take over your reservations. The rate or shipboard credit will not change.
I am a TA myself and frequently have guests book on their own and then come to me to take over the booking. The rate never changes(unless I can get a better rate).

As far as I know you can transfer a reservation from DCL to a TA at anytime. DCL did it for us right when we rebooked while onboard.
