When can we start planning ADRs?

i know it's not as important at Disneyland as it is at Disney world but there are a few we are pretty set on and we would like to avoid disappointment. For some reason 90 days is ringing a bell but so is 60 days out. Is there a difference between BBB and restaurants? Our last trip was to the world and its so much earlier than DL and I'm worried I'm going to miss the window.

60 days out. Enjoy! :)

Its not at all hard to get reservations at places at the park. A lot of times you can make them the day before.

As others have said, dining reservations and BBB reservations both open 60-days in advance. Dining reservations are much easier to come by at DLR (compared to WDW), so you really don't need to make reservations right on the 60-day mark. (Note that there have been some issues with the F! dining packages not being loaded into the system on the 60-day mark. So if you're interested in that and nothing shows up on the 60-day mark, try again a few days later. Most guests have reported that the packages were available at that point.) Unlike the WDW system where guests know exactly when the phone and online systems "roll" to a new day, it's not as well defined for DLR (mostly because it's not needed). The online system rolls somewhere between midnight and 6:00 am and the phone lines open somewhere between 8:00 am and 9:00 am on most days.

I know you can make dining reservations online, but I think you have to call for BBB.

The only thing you really need to be doing 60 days out is a F! dinner package at the Blue Bayou. Even then, at about 50 days you can get what you need. Everything else is pretty easy to land. I remember our last trip in November, I was able to book Carnation Cafe right at parade time about 5 days out.

I realize this a big difference from WDW where you gotta book 180 days out. It took me a year and two big trips before I got comfortable with just booking a few places about 30 days out. Without a decent DDP like they have in FL, DL will never have a problem with reservations being gone when you need them.

We are a large group, 15 of us, so the one or 2 meals that we will all eat together I feel we should book early. Most of our dining is flexible so it doesn't really matter but we aren't going into the parks on arrival day and will all be heading to goofy's kitchen to kick off the week. We will likely all be doing aeriels grotto for a 4th bday party as well so that one is also not flexible.
