When can I use my AP discount at meals or counter

Hello. Will be arriving on a Monday, but not planning on going to any Parks or activating( going into a Park) my brand new first time AP until either that Wednesday or Thursday.

Can I (and how can I ) use my AP to get the food discounts on Monday and Tuesday?

You can't get an AP discount on food there until your AP is active

I am 99% sure you would have to activate your AP before you can use your discounts - they always have asked us to see our Passholder cards when using ours, and we got those when we activated the APs. But you don't have to go into a park in order to activate, you can activate the AP at Disney Springs.

Thanks. I think I can survive without using the AP discount for two days. I'd rather postpone the activation.

When we were there in June we used our AP discount before we activated our APs. We ate at Cape May Cafe and I pulled up my MDE account on my phone and showed her that we had APs since we didn't have the cards yet. I also showed her my ID. No problems at all.
