When can I use banked points?

My use year is December.

A while back I banked my remaining points from this year.

When will I be able to make a reservation for my next use year (December 8 and 9) with the banked points?

Do I have to wait until December 1st to make the reservation if I want to use the banked points? Or can I use the banked points to make the reservation before December 1st?

You can always make a reservation at your home resort 11 months prior to check out and at any other resort 7 months prior to check out regardless of whether you are using current-UY points or banked points or borrowed points for that reservation.

If you want to book the nights of Dec 8-9, 2007, then you could have called MS as early as Jan 10, 2007 to book your home resort or May 10, 2007 to book a non-home resort. In fact, you could have started the process on Jan 9th/May 9th if you wanted to book day by day. December is a very busy time for DVC so most members book at the first opportunity. There may not be much left at this late date but it's still worth calling MS to find out. Good luck!

December use years can be "tricky" to understand. LisaS is correct. However, in case any of the newbie's are reading, I think it worth clarifying a bit - at least that is what I am trying to do, LOL.

Members who have December use years are currently in their 2006 use year. (2006 use year for them runs from 12/1/2006 and 11/30/2007). So if the OP "banked remaining points from this year", those points are now good for stays in the 2007 use year - between 12/1/2007 and 11/30/2008.

The banked points can absolutely be used for a December 8 & 9, 2007 reservation - if there is any availability left.
