When can I start planning...

...and not seem too obsessive?

We just decided on our 2016 travel plans! We are going to be pairing a river cruise with three nights at Disneyland Paris in late March/early April of that year. I consider myself an expert at DL and WDW, this is going to be a new challenge for me!

Since I am an obsessive planner, a couple of questions...

1-Do I need to worry about making dining reservations months in advance like at WDW? or can I be more chill about it like at DL? I know that when we are going is the slower time of year, but everything is relative.

2-Similar to above, how about the fast pass situation?

3-Is there a website similar to this one, but for Disneyland Paris? As in a fan site that is more easy to navigate than the company page?

So excited!

Check out dlpguide.com - loads of info there.
And it's never too early to start planning!
Dining reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance....it's not as much of a big deal as it is in WDW. If you want a character meal you should definitely book that in advance. You could get away without booking other restaurants, but you can and cancel on the day without penalty.
Fast passes can't be booked in advance. You get them on the day.

Way more laid back than WDW. If you're going at a quiet time of year you can generally get a table most places on the day.

But more popular meals/times you might want to call a week or so before just to be safe.

We'll be using DVC points for the hotel, so I'm going to have to start finding the ins and outs of the different hotels.

We aren't crazy about the styling of the Disneyland Hotel there, but wow, that location. We are thinking that the Sequoia Lodge would be the one that would most appeal to us. The info says that it is a 15 minute walk, which doesn't seem too bad, and I'm guessing the walk is scenic.

I would say it's less than 15. Doesn't seem as long as BW/YC/BC to DHS. But that could be because you walk through the Disney Village (like a mini DTD) so you've got lots to entertain you.

We love SL. It's my favourite after DLH.

We are also starting to plan our 2016 trip.

We are going on our Honeymoon in October - also doing a river cruise. Would love to hear all about your planning and your trip!

Congratulations! I used to do trip reports, then life got too busy. I'll be sure to let you know if I happen on something shareable.

Hello My Favourite Peeps,

It's been a couple of months since my last post and I'm sorry to jump in and hijack your post Bunless but I have a similar question.

I have the ins and outs of the USA parks figured out now and in Sept this year I will be making my first trip to Eurodisney.

I would love to stay at Disney land Hotel or Sequoia Lodge but the only place I can find to book a room is directly through the Disney site at a whopping 1450 Euro for a 1 night stay package overnight Sept 6/7th. Everywhere else (i.e. Expedia, Travelocity, etc) is saying that the hotels are fully booked. I really would love to stay onsite but this price tag when converted to Aussie Dollars is well out of my league. Does anyone else have any experience booking this early for sept? Do you think it is saying the hotel is booked out because its too early to book? Or would it really be booked out the far in advance? Should I wait a little longer?

Does anyone know where I can book a 1 night stay at an onsite property without park tickets? We will only have 1 day in the park so I really don't need 2 days park tickets that come with the package. I know 1 day is really short but as we are travelling from Australia I would take 1 day over no days overtime :) I just need me some good ol' Disney Magic :)

Thanks for any advice you can give. I love my disboarders :lovestruc

I would check the UK Disneyland Paris site first to see what kind of prices you get. I know the US site is way more expensive and if you are looking at the Australian site it may be as well. There will likely be better offers closer to the time of booking and you can book on any country's website by leaving the country as UK (or whatever) and adding your details - nothing comes in the mail - everything is electronic. Good Luck and Happy Planning!
