When can I call Disney??

I'm so excited to be able to finally say we are planning our Disney Wedding!!!!!! (offically!! ) We were engaged at Disney this weekend and now I'm so ready to start planning our Intimate wedding!!!

When can I make the first call? I know that we need to book the room first, which I plan on doing this upcoming weekend. We plan to get married Nov 3rd, 2007. I thought I remembered reading a while back that you could call 18 months out, and then call to make sure you get your date at 12 months out. Is that correct?

I think you are correct. And it doesn't hurt to call. All they can do is tell you it's too early! Plus I have heard different things from different people. I guess it depends who you end up with on the phone.

Congratulations! I saw your ring on the other thread. Are you planning an Intimate or Custom? We haven't set a date yet (just July or August 2007)so we haven't called to book it yet.

We are planning an Intimate wedding. We want to get married at Sunset Pointe at the Poly!!! We actually stopped by there on Sunday and took some pictures of the area!!!! It was sooo exciting. We are not attached to any particular date. If that date is not available, we can move it a bit. They have stopped holding weddings there from March-Nov 1, after we picked our date. We figured early November was the best weather wise! I think after I book the room this weekend I"ll try calling!!

We are flexible with a date too, since I am on summer vacation in July and August. I figure we can narrow it down and then see what's available. I like your new picture!

Congratulations on your recent engagement!!! I think you can call whenever, but you cannot have a planning session until 12-18 months out?? I am not completely sure, but I'm sure if you make it sound like you dead serious about having your wedding there they may work with you...who knows, it seems they got some weird rules sometimes This summer I think my boyfriend and i are gonna do our own little planning session by ourselves seeing that we arent engaged yet. i really wanna see the locations in person and since we are from Illinois I dont know when the next time we will be at Disney will be.

How exactly do you get to the wedding pavilion?? I have only been in the lobby of the GF so i am really not sure about the area.

Goofygal - Congratulations!! I belive you've gotten some sound advice from the girls so far about when to call. If you're excited and want to do it, call right now. They'll let you know if it's too early. Have fun planning!!

Cinderella - you can walk from the GF to the Wedding Pavilion. There's a path that leads right to it. Just keep walking on the path towards the Poly and you'll run right into it.
