When can I book online for 2008?

We are stuck going at Easter for my niece's wedding and I wanted to reserve a room at CSR as quick as possible. I've used Dreams Unlimited in the past and wanted to again but I can't choose dates that far in the future. Does anyone know? Can I book directly with Disney now?

you can't post until the new rates come out which should be in the next month or so. I have heard others say they booked for the end of December and then when the rates come out they change it but I don't know how that would specifically would matter.we are going over easter as well and are waiting for the rates

You can book a room only for 2008 by calling CRO. The rate will be the 2007 rate, but it will change when 2008 rates are released and you may have to pay more to have paid the one night deposit. We have booked CSR for April 2008 already.

You can't book a package yet, and you can't convert a room only to a package.

I booked our rooms for Jan 2008 a couple of months ago. They just use the 2007 rates and will change it when the new rates come out. I feel better just having the room booked and can adjust or change it when the new rates and packages come out. I never book over the internet. I prefer to speak to a person to confirm that I got what I wanted.

What dates are you going in Jan? We are going Jan 31st to Feb 4th or 5th. It's according to what kind of specials they have at that time.

You can mention in the notes when you request a quote from Dreams that you are looking at 2008 dates. They have not released the rates for 2008 yet but you could make a reservation.

i hate to ask a question on someone eles post, but what if you book now and then a special comes out?!?!? (like free dining or something like that)

First of all, I've been calling Disney reservations almost every day since June 13th to find out when the 2008 rates will be posted. Mid-August seems to be the most common answer. Some have indicated it could be as soon as early July. I did have one CM tell me that the computer system (including the website) is updated every day at Midnight and to keep checking it every day. (That's no problem 'cause i've been doing that already)

As the previous posters have said, you can book a room only package right now but it will be at the 2007 rate. The price will be adjusted as soon as the 2008 rates come out.

Now, to the question relative to if you book a vacation and then a special comes out. This happened to me this year. I booked our June, 2007 stay on August 15, 2006. Sometime about mid-way through my paying on the vacation, Disney came out with a room discount and free ticket upgrade.

I found this out by checking "special offers" on the www.disneyworld.com website. I immediately called 407-W-DISNEY and told them what I had found online. I was able to get two nights of my 10 day stay at a slightly discounted rate and I got the free ticket upgrade (water parks and more). The vaule of the savings and upgrade was over $300.00! I wouldn't have cared if it was just $30.00, I'll would have taken it!

I assume there won't be any type of discounts available over Easter so I guess I certainly won't need to worry about that! I sooo love going to Disney but I'm terrified of going at Easter. We never go during peak times.
