When can I book May 06 using 07 points and Feb use year?

We would like to stay at BCV and SSR in May 06, but we will need to borrow from 07 points. We have a Feb use year, so when can I actually borrow the points? Also, our home is at SSR, so how do the 11-7 month windows play into this?

Please help! So many of you know exactly the right way to phrase this to Member Services, so I want to make sure I do it right!

Thanks!

You borrow the points when you book. Since you are well within the 11 month window, you can book any stay now. You can book 11 months from the date of check out. When you make the reservation, they will borrow the points you need from your '07 use year. Since that stay is already in your '06 use year, you CAN borrow from '07.

Since you need to work around the 7-month window, you will need to wait until October 2005 to book May 2006.

Do you have Caskbill's vacation planner? It is great figuring out the 11-7 month windows.

Sorry, I missed that you weren't staying at your home resort. Sheryl is right, you can book at the 7 month window and borrow at that time.

You can book May 2006 SSR using your SSR points now, borrowing as necessary. You will not be able to book BCV until October 2005 since you will be using non-home resort points. However, you could book your entire stay at SSR now, then modify the reservation to add your nights at BCV at the 7-month window and drop the extra SSR nights if you are concerned about availability at BCV. You would then borrow any additional points needed for the BCV portion of your stay at the time you change the reservation (BCV point requirements are slightly higher than SSR for the same size accommodations). If you cannot book what you want at BCV, you'd still have the SSR booking.
