When can I book for Oct 2013

I know this questions has probably been asked a lot, but I can't think of the best way to search..so sorry for the probable repeat.

If we are planning on going in Oct 2013 (after all the construction/rehab) will we be able to book Dec 2012?

You can book a room only up to 499 days in advance only by phone. You are quoted the highest rack rate for peak season and must put down the first night deposit.

In August, when the next year's rates are released and you can convert it to a package.

This is correct that you can book room only now by calling. However, once the 2013 rates are released, the process to go from that to a package is not as simple as just "converting" it to a package by adding tickets to the current reservation. The room only would have to be cancelled/refunded and a package booked, requiring a new $200 deposit, as money paid toward one cannot be applied to the other. With that said, if you know you want a package from the beginning, it's probably best to wait until the new rates are released as that would save from booking/paying a deposit/cancelling/rebooking/paying a new deposit.

Thanks for the info. It looks like my best bet is to wait until Aug to book. I think this is the farthest out I have ever planned a trip.

To be truthful I had insomnia last night. I was going back and forth to responding to posts and checking the POR thread to see if anyone posted pics of the royal rooms. Oops.

Like who is going to get up at 4 am to post a picture for me....
