When can I book for 2006?

When I took DD to WDW for her 8th birthday in 2002, I promised DS that he could have his own 8th birthday celebration at WDW, too. We might go closer to his actual birthday in February 2006, or wait for better swimming weather in April. At any rate, as I'm a bit of an anal planner, I wondered how far in advance room arrangements can be made. Input is greatly appreciated!

You can reserve now for 2006 if you'd like. Since the 2006 rates haven't been announced yet (probably in June), they will reserve it at the 2005 rates and your reservation will be adjusted if/when there is a rate change. There's not really any advantage that I see to booking so early, but I like to plan also, so I understand...one thing checked off of your to-do list!

I always book as soon as we decide in which hotel we're staying. That means 9 months to a year in advance. There's really no advantage to this, but it feels great! I know that the CR tower rooms get booked up quickly, so I'd recommend reserving asap if that's where you want to stay. At least you'll have your room guaranteed.

I usually book our room as soon as we decide on the resort and we know our dates. Those who book early are at least assured of a room in the resort that they desire. :D

The earliest bookings that ever occurred at WDW were guests who made reservations in 1989 for Christmas week 1999 to be there for New Year's Eve.
