When Can I Book DGC for June 09?

We're trying to book a 1BR for 6/09 with points at the Grand Californian. We were told that the rates would be out sometime in August which would allow us to book. Then I called back and MS said that 8/15 would be the date that the rates would be out and we could begin our trip planning.

Well...no luck. I tried today and we're still unable to book for those dates and I was wondering if anyone else has tried for Summer 2009 and what kind of results they have been getting? I keep getting told that they are only booking through December 29, 2008. It doesn't make sense to me because the 11-month window should be in effect for that particular resort. Thanks for your help!

As you may have heard, DVC is building at Grand Californian. Once the DVC rooms open, they will not have bookings in the regular hotel portion for Members using points.

All resorts with DVC attached to a regular resort are this way such as Wilderness Lodge and Beach Club Villas.

I am thinking they may be anticipating DVC opening by that time frame, hence no ressies for the main hotel. You may want to consider reserving at the Disneyland Hotel or Paradise Pier instead.
