This summer we are going to disney with someone diabetic and if they want to call and order a sugarfree dessert- what do they say to the chef- can you make me a special dessert- and should she mention what she likes and dont like? Like she hates anything to do with coffee so any tiramsu and loves vanilla and milk chocolate things. I would appreciate your help cause last time when we went she was sick of that sugarfree cheesecake they have everywhere.

THANKS

You could try making a request when you PS. Good luck though. I know they try to take care of dietary needs such as allergies butI don't kow that they'll make special desserts.

Perhaps the question should be, "Where can we get good sugar free desserts (besides cheese cake)?"

I think there's a seperate forum on here for special dietary needs.

Most WDW restaurnts have very limited 'fixed" menues with only 2-3 dessert options.

I would think they all have fresh fruit, which is what my diabetic Mom asks for .:D

Assuming you have a PS time, and it is a full service sit down restaurant, try calling Disney Dining a couple of days prior to your seating time. Explain your situation, and see what they can do for you.

The Primary reason I am asking is because when I went to ourlaughingplace. com they show all these nice desserts that were sugarfree and that they said they preordered. Thanks again- I mean I want to make her trip more special

Just give them a call and tell them you're traveling wtih a diabetic, and do they offer any sugar free desserts. More than likely, they have a couple that they do reguarly and can tell you over the phone your options so you can pre-order them.

I'm sure they deal with this daily, just ask what they have... never hurts to just call and ask.

When you make your PS be sure to let the agent know about allergys. They will note them and give you the number of the restaurant. You can call the chef seven days prior to your dining and discuss the menu.
