When booking ressies online...

When searching for a dining reservation on the WDW site, I keep getting a message that says, "Sorry, our system is currently experiencing high volume and we were unable to process your request. Please try again. If you receive this response several times, please try returning at a later time."

Does this mean their system is truly down or is there not a reservation for the time/date I am searching? I keep getting this, and it's driving me nuts!
 
I believe that message means the system is down. When they can't find a reservation for your place/time, you get suggestions for other places/times that are available and not an error message.
 
I got this message for NYE ressie's. I posted the same question and I was told to type in different times, or day, and voila, it worked. So...try changing your time by even 1/2hr and see what happens. Good luck.
 
The system is probably truly busy or down. When it is working if no availability you usually get suggestions for other places and times. Keep trying or use the old stand by 407-WDW-DINE.
