When are you charged for your package when booked through Disney?

If we book our December vacation now (hotel, park tickets, and dining plan), will be be charged now? Or do they just take your credit card number and charge it at check out?

There's a $200 deposit and final payment is due 45 days out. Once you book you get a confirmation page with all of the information - including when final payment is due.

So do you have to call back in to make a payment or will your cc automatically be charged when the due date of finale payment is due?

You have to call back and make a payment or payment(s). Nothing is automatically charged.

The balance due at 45 days out is for a package (room, tickets, and/or dining combination). If you are booking a room only then you only pay a deposit at booking and pay for the rest when you get there.

We always pay our balance on-line. Quick tip. If you can get them to nix the trip insurance--only if it is a good idea for you. If you can have it removed it will save you about $135. THere are supposed to tell you about if you are calling to book. Last year the CM didn't mention it and luckily my Dad caught it in time and we had it removed. I think you have several days to cancel. MIL didn't realize it this year and I didn't think about it in time--so we were charged
