I thought I had read somewhere that it expired 4/14 but I don't see that on the site anywhere. I did see that the tickets went up $5.00 each though. I was a little sad about that!

I have my tickets, and they do not have an expiration date on them. We are going the last week of May.

I thought I had read that they were going to stop selling them on 4/14. Has anyone else heard this??

If you click on the Hollywood Universal sign it states that there is a deadline.

I bought 2 of the kraft 5 day tickets :wave2: ( for Universal Studios Orlando) in March to use in June and didn't see any exp. dates anywhere on the Orlando offer. Also, I called the park and the person that I spoke to said they were just like the other 5 day passes - they expire in 5 days starting from the first day of use. I hope she's right! ::yes::

The tickets don't expire, however, they may be ending the sale of them through the Kraft promotion!

to buy these tickets now? We aren't going until feb 2005. If the tickets have no exp date, I was thinking of buying them now because I am afraid there wont be any "great deal" as my time gets closer. On the other hand, I hate to spend nearly $300 now on something I dont need until 10 months from now.

If this deal ends, do you think there will be another great deal before Feb?

Thanks

Honestly, I think they are a great deal. If they do stop the promotion, I don't think they would offer another that is as good! The travel industry has stated there is a huge increase in travel in the last 3 months and an increase is predicted for the upcoming summer! I would buy the tix now...it is less you will need to worry about come Feb.
I bought my tix 2 months ago for our August trip!

I think I will go ahead and buy them. We are planning on staying on-site and was going to wait and see if they still had the deal of getting the stay & play passes with your ressies...but I think this is the better deal.

Btw Daydreamer64...I don't see a Hollywood universal sign to click for the deadline...

What did you all do for shipping? What is the ceTicket-will call? That is only $2. To have them shipped (they can't weigh much!!) It will cost $11!! Ouch, that seems like a lot!!

OK, read about the ceticket--I understand how you "get them" at the park. My new question...it says that you have to use the same credit card used to order them to print them out at the gate. My credit/debit card expires in may of this year. A new one will be issued, I am sure, but will this cause a problem? I am assuming that the new one will have the same account number, but what if it doesn't?? Will there be a problem printing out these pre-purchased tickets?

Thanks!!

Usually, when the bank issues your new credit card, it has the same numbers but a different expiration date.

They have machines at US gate that you slide your credit card into. Once the machine "reads" your card, the tix print out. Sometimes the machines are a little "touchy" and you have to be patient.....slide the card in slowly and the tickets eventually print out and are slid out the bottom. Does that make sense?

Okay, so I guess I just need to be brave and do it. If I order the tickets for ceticket machine instead of mail delivery, will I get some kind of email confirmation?

Thanks again

Yes! You do get an E-Mail confirmation!

Thanks, that makes me feel better...I need something in hand to make me feel better about spending $300 on something I won't see/use for 10 months!!

Thanks again

Now I am excited!! This makes my trip offical feeling since it is all I can really do this far in advance!! I purchased three of them--5 days at Universal for three people, only $279.81. I just wish Feb would hurry up and get here.:bounce:

And, I won't feel awful when the kraft offer disappears!!

Thanks for all the help!!
Laurie

Don't feel bad, we are not going until Dec. and purchased our tix for that promo in Feb.! I got mine thru AAA for 89.95 each instead of the 94.00 on Universal's Website...

AAA was only thru online AAA, not at the local office for that cheaper deal! For those who have not purchased, may want to check that out, every little dollar helps!

AWW Sorry all, I just checked the website and should have before I posted but they no longer have the 89.95 deal. It is 5 consecutive days but the price is the same as USO's.

Didn't mean to get anyone excited, my fault for not checking first. Just assumed that since Universal was still offering the discount that AAA would be too for the same price they offered in Feb. Of course, I forgot there was a price increase right after we purchased and our price incl. taxes.

You can still get them for 89.95, as someone posted if you go to the window where you purchase the tickets for 94.95 and then close that window, you get a pop-up offer for 89.95.

and of course there is the kraft deal for 86.95

...don't feel silly...I am not going until Feb 2005 and already bought mine for pickup at the machine...:bounce:
