When are the off-times to eat?

I read a tip to eat at off-times in the park, so as to be eating when it is not so crowded, and to be on rides while others are eating.

If you have tried this, do you notice a difference?
And, what times do you try to eat, so as to ride when lines may be shorter?

I am remembering a few years ago when we got ice creams before going to a parade spot on Main Street. Quite a line.
And at some point later in the evening we ate at the Mexican restaurant near MTMRR, not busy at all.
Both times just happen to be when we stopped, so I am trying to be a little more planned this time for approximate meal and snack times.

Thanks for any help!

For lunch avoid 12-1:30ish Dinner avoid 5-6:30

We like to eat lunch around 11:30 and will eat dinner around 4:30 and seems like we never have trouble with waiting too long for food lines.

When we book TS we try for lunch at 11:30 and dinner at 4:30. We've also eaten later in the day after 1:30 or in the evening after say 7 and found CS to be quite manageable (we usually go on Aug)

Last trip we didn't do any TS. When we were hungry for a lunch break we picked something up close to where we were at the time. At our usual dinner time we just had a snack. Since the parks closed at 8PM through the week, as we were leaving the parks we would call Marris for a pizza. It would be delivered shortly after we got back to the room.

We also did 11:30/4:30, but we are also two time zones away so to us it felt like eating at 1:30/6:30!!

I will chime in and say that eating lunch when the lunch venues open at 11:30am works well, especially if you have been in the parks since EMH/MM or rope drop. When you arrive that early you've probably had breakfast really early so you are super hungry for lunch by 11:30am. When we go in the summer, we have been EMH/MMing since 7am so by 11:30am we are thrilled to sit down and eat. After lunch we do a wet ride like Splash or GRR (I pull the FPs before lunch so we have the time window we want). If we get soaked it is OK b/c next we are on our way back to the hotel for midday break and a swim. Have fun on your trip!

Thank you for the time frame tips!

And
when the lunch venues open at 11:30am
I did not even think about the lunch menus opening until a certain time! I think I was just assuming we would eat whenever.

We also did 11:30/4:30, but we are also two time zones away so to us it felt like eating at 1:30/6:30!!
Us too! So, I guess we will definitely be eating earlier, as we will be on Texas time. (Woo, could be a difficult wake-up time in the mornings for our family of non-early birds)
