When Are Target Toys Going 75% OFF

I arrived at my store at 8:30am today and workers were blocking all the 75% off aisles with carts as they were still marking things down. :confused3 I went back at 11:00 and most of the aisles were bare. I did get:

Petshop pets
Scrabble to go
Hasbro Card games
Atari joystick tv games
3 Lego Stars Wars and Atlantis Packs 5.98 - these are orig around $11 - so only 50% off
Monopoly City
Atlantis - 9.98 - marked down from $25

I spent $65 and the original price of all the items would have been $166.

I did ok as I mostly wanted the Legos for next christmas, but I would have done way better if the employees had the items marked down when the store opened and had the aisles open. I was really trying to get things we could use and not just randomly filling up the cart and wasting money.

I just called one of our local targets this morning and the girl I spoke to said "It's a mix of 30% to 75%" well that doesn't help me out :lmao: I want them all to be 75% I think I will still wait for Thursday.

Toy section is 75% and there are other "toy" type items that are 30% like sleeping bags and ball pits. There are lego's on clearance for 50% off, they never clearance Legos with other toys unless they are a specific toy theme like toy story or duplo.

I went today and got the Lego Toy Story 3 train for $9.99 (retail $40) but everything else was pretty well picked through. They did have a nice batman imaginext set which I passed up on. They had lots of those Cars die cast sets for 75% off but I still couldn't justify $5 or $7 for a couple of cars. I found a cute buzz lightyear short sleeved t-shirt on clearance to put away as a gift for my little guy (on our Disney trip in May).

I just called the Target that I was at this morning and they said that they are just setting up 75% off toys now. I said how is that possible as I was just there this morning? sigh... now I have to go back! :lmao:

Went to 2 Targets nearby this morning and both looked like they must have hit 75% yesterday or earlier in the week. Only the ball pits at 30% were left plus some random 50% off items. The Imaginext Dragon Fortress was normal price at both my Targets.....DS3 would have loved that for his 4th birthday! Walked away with nothing!

I got there a little late to mine this morning, DD had a school assembly I needed to go to, so its no telling what all I missed. But here is what I got:
Cars Heavy Metal Mater 4-pk 7.48
Cars Mater the Greater 4-pk 7.48
Cars Rescue Squad Mater 4-pk 7.48
Rub a Dub Tug Target Monsters 5.07
TS3 Mega Rig Western TRain 9.98
Cars Monster Truck Wrestlin' Playset 7.48
TS3 Action Links Junkyard Escape 8.00
Chuck Power Playard Handy's Hangtime Bridge 7.48
Bratz FM Cruiser 6.25
Wizard of Oz Barbie 8.24
Mermaid Tale Barbie 4.97
Liv Doll Drum Set 3.27
Barbie Furniture pack (looonngg box-and very hard to hide!) 14.98
RC Lightning McQueen 4.37
RC Tarantula 4.98

I don't think I did as well this year as I have in the past, plus it seemed more people were in on it than in previous years so I had more competition! :lmao: I guess its my kids' ages that I didn't find more for them. I was really hoping that there would still be a Big Buzz for my DS but they were long gone by the time I got there. Oh well, there's always the summer clearance!! ;)

My husband hit some of them this morning and said that they had 4 aisles and now they are down to 1 or 1 1/2 aisles and everything is pretty picked over. So, within hours it was gone.

Two of the stores I went to were marked down to 75% in Minnesota. I was more interested in the legos getting marked down and they did to 50% off. I got

lego airport $50
lego gateway to atlantis $50
lego toy story trash compactor $24

I think that it is funny how different Targets mark stuff down. The Target by my house still has all of these sets for regular price. Good Luck getting your stuff!

I just went to the local Target today - a little of it was 50% off and most was still regular price. Really lame. I did get a Duplo Toy Story 3 set for DD to put away for Hanukkah and a Bey Blades for DS because I broke the strap of the one he got for his birthday. Nothing else good...oh well, I shouldn't even be shopping right now!

I went this morning...my first time venturing out of the house since Sunday (due to snow) and I'm so glad I did! (A break from the kids helped my sanity a little bit too.:rolleyes1)

yeah. I'm really mad. I had gone to Target this morning a little before 9. the signs still said 30% and 50%. I scanned some things and they were not 75% off. I bought one 50% off toy and left. Came on these boards and after reading so many posts about 75% off called the store and was told that things were now 75%. I didn't really understand that but went back anyways being told that there was still a ton left. Got to the store and there was nothing. Maybe one shelf of the Tangled table and chairs and some Twilight Scene its. Nothing like I had seen this morning. I asked to see a manager and asked why when I was there this morning nothing was on sale but later in the day things were marked down. She did not have a reason but apologized. She gave me the number for corporate and told me that she would talk to the people that do the markdowns to find out why they didn't do them first thing in the morning. I spent 20 minutes on the phone with corporate to find out that they can't do anything for me that I have to deal with the store directly. :confused3 I'm just super annoyed. I would have bought so much this morning when I was there. I don't understand why the sale wouldnt' start first thing this morning when the store opened.

I spent a little over $200 and stocked up for birthdays, Easter and even some Christmas. I want to go back for more. 75% off is absolutely fabulous!

Back from two stores in my area and not much left. People where filling multible carts full of toys.

Marlton had more then Mt laurel if anyone is interested in those store in NJ.

I'm pretty happy with my haul this year, although I didn't go crazy like previous years. I stopped by our store at 10:15ish and there was a lady checking out who had 3 of those long metal flatbed type carts + another cart. Can't imagine what her total was. :scared1:

Learning Resources gear set $7.48
MLP mermaid playset $6.25
Polly Pocket sets $4.22, $6.24, $9.07
Zoobles single $1.98
FP Tolly tot (rocking horse for dolls) $4.98
Barbie cruise ship $9.98
2 metal kaleidoscopes $0.96 each
Lego police car $2.98
Lego Star Wars Echo Base $12.48 (50% off, but I'm sure it wouldn't last)
Imaginext Jokers House $7.48
Imaginext Sea Dragon $7.24
Tag Jr. carrying case $3.74

Not my best year, but everything is pretty much something I know that'll get used. I'll probably head back tomorrow see if there's minifigs in the Valentine's section and double check if I missed something but I'm sure it'll be pretty empty. I miss living in an area that has multiple Targets though.

...because they have to manually scan each item to mark it down and tag it. With there being a HUGE snow storm in the NE yesterday, I heard employees saying many people didn't come in yesterday. So I think they were REALLY behind on the Wednesday markdowns, and did the Thursday markdowns AFTER. I went back to the store at 1:30 and they had just started marking down....and I scored BIG TIME! Got everything I wanted :banana:

thanks for making me feel so great :confused3

thanks for making me feel so great :confused3

I was explaining to you WHY it probably wasn't marked down when you walked into the store this morning. Instead of creating ANOTHER post, I added my find. Don't worry, there will be another toy clearance in July/August.

I scored the Star Wars "The Force Trainer" for $24.98 (75% off!) for DS for his birthday. Into the closet it goes...
