Howdy everyone!

Still new SSR vacation homeowners here and I know that dues are due but I don't know when they are due? I am only concerned because we bought our first real everyday home and are moving soon and I didn't want to miss something. Does anyone know?

Thanks in advance - I really appreciate any help I can get!

I would call your guide, when you close on your membership usually dvc will send out your pro rated dues within 2 months and are due the month arfter, now with SSR, since some people are not aloud to use their points until a certain date, i think that date would accure first before your dues are due, otherwise everyone pays there non pro rated dues in jan. but dvc gives you an extra 30 days to pay them( feb.15). the dues are mailed out the last few days in dec.

For the current year, I'm not sure. I know they pro-rate them based on purchase date.

Thereafter, dues billings are sent at the end of the calendar year and are due in January (the 15th?) or upon check-in at a DVC resort, whichever is earlier. Dues can also be drafted monthly from your bank account. If you want the draft option, contact Member Accounting so that they have time to set up the drafts for the new year. However you set it ur (Draft or lump sum) it will remain that way year after year unless you again contact Member Accounting to change it.

Our dues are debited to our checking account on the 15th of each month. You can pay it all at once but Disney doesn't charge interest on dues so why let them have use of your money one year in advance? Take Chuck's advice and call member accounting.

I called member services and they told me our contract for SSR hasn't officially closed yet and that we'll get a dues statement in the mail after that happens. With all of the other house stuff going on I thought I was losing my mind thinking our dues had come in and I had missed them somehow!

Thanks again :teeth:

make sure you keep an eye open for the statement after you close, because you will get the statement very soon afterwards, we closed and was waiting for our statement, never got one then about 3 or 4 months later a over due bill came with a nasty late fee, i called ms and accounting was so rude and finally said , oh you must have been one of those members that were included with the bulk statements that were lost, they did waive the late fees, as they should have, but what i dont understand, if they knew they lost a bulk of them wouldnt they have sent duplicate ones just in case:confused:
